Cookies policy

What this policy covers
This policy explains how wiseyjoy.com uses browser storage, cookies, and related technologies. A cookie is a small piece of data a website or service asks a browser to retain. Local storage is a separate browser feature that can keep information on your device without sending it with every page request.
WiseyJoy's local reading features
Bookmarks and reading history use local storage so the feature can work without an account. The stored values identify article slugs and, for history, the time an article was viewed. They stay in your browser and are not uploaded to WiseyJoy by those features. You can clear bookmarks or history inside the site or remove all WiseyJoy site data through your browser settings.
The core publication does not require a first-party advertising or analytics cookie merely to read an article. Hosting and security infrastructure may use short-lived, strictly necessary technologies when required for traffic routing, abuse prevention, or service integrity.
Google Ad Manager
When advertising is enabled, Google Ad Manager and participating advertising partners may use cookies, mobile identifiers, IP addresses, and similar technologies to select, deliver, cap, and measure advertisements. These technologies can help prevent the same ad from appearing too often, detect invalid traffic, report aggregate performance, and—where allowed—personalize ads based on interests.
In regions where consent is required, advertising storage and personalization should not activate until the applicable choice is recorded. Available options may include accepting, rejecting, or managing categories of non-essential storage. Google controls the duration and exact names of cookies it sets, and these can change as its services evolve.
Your choices
- Use your browser controls to block or delete cookies and site data.
- Clear WiseyJoy bookmarks and history from their respective pages.
- Manage Google ad personalization in My Ad Center.
- Use industry opt-out tools where available, such as YourAdChoices or the NAI opt-out.
Blocking all cookies may affect third-party advertising or security functions, but locally stored reading tools can also be removed independently. Browser menus differ; consult the support pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.
Third-party responsibility
Third-party services control their own technologies and retention periods. Review Google's privacy policy and partner-site information for more detail. Our privacy policy explains the broader handling of information.
Updates and questions
We update this page when storage practices or advertising providers materially change. Questions can be sent to [email protected] or through the contact page.
