Scope and our approach
This policy explains how WiseyJoy handles information when you visit wiseyjoy.com, use its reading tools, or contact the editorial desk. We collect only what is reasonably needed to operate, secure, improve, and fund the site. WiseyJoy does not currently offer user accounts, public comments, or a server-hosted newsletter signup.
Information you choose to provide
The contact form on this site prepares a message in your own email application. The form itself does not silently upload or store the name, email address, topic, or message you enter. If you send the resulting email, we receive the information contained in that email and use it to respond, investigate a correction, consider a tutorial idea, handle a privacy request, or discuss a business inquiry.
Please do not send passwords, payment details, government identifiers, or other sensitive information unless we specifically request information needed to verify a protected legal request.
Information collected during a visit
Our hosting and security providers may process standard technical logs, such as IP address, requested URL, date and time, browser or device type, referring page, response status, and diagnostic information. These records support site delivery, abuse prevention, reliability, and troubleshooting. They are not used to build a WiseyJoy user account.
Bookmarks and reading history are stored in your browser's local storage. That information remains on your device and is not transmitted to WiseyJoy by those features. You can remove it from the Bookmarks or Reading History page, or clear site data in your browser.
Advertising and Google services
WiseyJoy may use Google Ad Manager to deliver, limit, and measure advertising. When advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may process device identifiers, IP address, browser information, ad interactions, and cookies or similar technologies. Personalized advertising is used only where permitted and, when required, after an appropriate consent choice.
Google's use of information is governed by its own policies. You can review how Google uses information from sites that use its services, manage personalization in My Ad Center, and review our cookies policy.
How and why we use information
- Deliver pages and remember device-local reading choices
- Respond to messages and investigate reported errors
- Secure the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures
- Understand aggregate site performance and improve navigation or content
- Deliver and measure advertising where configured and permitted
- Meet legal obligations and protect our rights or users
Depending on the applicable law, these activities rely on consent, performance of a requested service, our legitimate interests in operating a safe and useful publication, or compliance with legal obligations.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that help with hosting, security, email delivery, analytics, or advertising; by professional advisers where necessary; or by authorities when disclosure is legally required. Providers are expected to use information only for the contracted purpose and to protect it appropriately.
Retention and security
Technical logs are retained according to the operational and security needs of our hosting environment. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to address the request, maintain an appropriate record, or meet legal requirements. Browser-local bookmarks and history remain until you remove them. We apply reasonable organizational and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of certain personal information, and to withdraw consent. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. Send requests to [email protected]. We may request proportionate information to verify that the request concerns you.
Children and international processing
WiseyJoy is a general educational publication and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own; where required, appropriate contractual or legal safeguards are used for those transfers.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the site, providers, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to [email protected]; other questions can use the contact page.
